For a bit of natural texture along with bright lemon flavor and aroma, add
faerie's lemon zest to your favorite baking recipes. Our lemon zest can
be used wherever your recipes call for lemon zest or lemon peel … even
potpourri.
Our lemon zest is dehydrated for convenient storage and use. 1/4 teaspoon
of dry lemon zest granules is equivalent to one full teaspoon of fresh lemon
peel or lemon zest. A large lemon will normally yield about one
tablespoon of fresh zest.
If you are using our zest in baking or in a dish that will be cooked for more
than a few minutes after the zest is added then the zest can be added
dry. Otherwise, soak the dry zest in lukewarm water for 15-30 minutes
before use to re-hydrate.
