Garam masala or hot paste, is a blend of spices commonly used in the cuisines of
Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. Our garam masala blends together
coriander, cumin and cardamom with cinnamon, cloves and other spices to create a
deliciously fragrant blend.
garam masala scramble
- a tablespoon of olive oil or butter
- 1 medium onion, halved and cut into thin slices
- 1 leek cut cut in half and thinly sliced
- 1 - 1 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup of pine nuts
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 dozen eggs
- salt to taste
Over medium heat, saute onion and leak in olive oil or butter until barely
tender. Add garam masala and let spices lightly toast for a few
minutes. Add pine nuts and raisins and mix well, making sure garam masala
is evenly distributed. Add eggs and scramble with other ingredients
cooking until desired consistency. Add salt if desired to taste.
