cayenne peppers
|
The chiles used in this fiery powder were originally grown in the Cayenne region
of French Guyana and are now cultivated in India, Japan and other parts of
Africa.
Cayenne pepper is prepared from the seeds and membranes (where you find the
fire) of these high-capsicum chiles. It has little aroma, but is very hot
to the taste. We offer an especially hot cayenne pepper for maximum taste
intensity.
Cayenne pepper is especially popular in the savory cuisines of Italy and
Mexico. It is often paired with rich, buttery sauces and is especially
well suited to cheese and egg dishes.
For extra zesty flavor, try adding cayenne pepper to salsa, avocado dip, and
sauces for tacos and enchiladas. Make a tasty Southwest omelet with
tomatoes, onions, peppers and a pinch of cayenne pepper added to the eggs.
When storing herbs and spices packaging is an important consideration.
Plastic zip seal bags allow aroma and taste to escape and shorten the flavor
life of your herbs and spices.
We package our herbs and spices in food grade PET plastic jars. These
clear, dense jars allow you to see your herbs and spices while still sealing in
all the aroma and flavor so you get maximum life from your ingredients.
