white peppercorns
|
White pepper has a warm, slightly nutmeg flavor and a hot, biting taste.
White pepper is more pungent but less aromatic than black pepper.
The peppercorns are the berries of a tropical vine. To produce white
pepper, the outer skin of the ripening berries is removed and the hard core is
then dried in the sun. With other processing, the same berries can become
green or black peppercorns.
White pepper is often used for light-colored foods and sauces for aesthetic
reasons. faerie recommends white pepper for egg dishes and chicken,
especially chicken soup.
We are delighted to offer our white peppercorns in a 2.5 oz plastic grinder
top jar. Keep one of these attractive grinders next to the stove or on the table
to conveniently add delicious, freshly ground white peppercorns to your favorite foods.
