Anise is the oldest of cultivated spices and was enjoyed by the early Egyptians,
Greeks and Romans.
The flavor of anise can be found in many cordial liqueurs, including the French
anisette, patis, ricard and pernod, Greek ouzo, and Turkish taki and arrak.
Anise is very good with chicken, fish and seafood, figs, tropical fruits, leeks,
oxtail, pork, pumpkin, and root vegetables
We are pleased to offer both whole anise stars for use where appearance is
important and anise star pieces for a more economical flavoring alternative.
Anise works well with cinnamon,
chilis, coriander, garlic, and ginger.
