Sprinkle pork chops with pork blend and rub the seasoning into the meat
(for maximum flavor, let pork chops sit while you are preparing other ingredients).
Heat a large dutch oven and add oil - always remember, add cold oil to a
hot pan and foods won't stick.
Brown chops on both sides over medium high heat.
Remove from pan after browning.
then prepare the apple mixture
1 medium onion - diced fine
2 Granny Smith apples - diced fine
1 cup rum
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp luscious lemon or regular sugar
Reduce heat to medium and add onions. Sauté until translucent.
Add apples and mix well with onions. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.
Add rum and vanilla extract and increase heat to medium high.
Let cook for about 5 minutes to reduce some of the liquid.
Sprinkle sugar over apple-onion mixture and stir well.
Place pork chops on top of mixture and cover.
Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 10 more minutes.
Apple mixture can be served over the pork chops or on the side.
