candied orange slices

featuring faerie's czar's delight sugar

½ cup czar's delight sugar
¾ cup water
1 medium navel orange - cut in quarters and thinly sliced

  • In a small saucepan, combine czar's delight and water and bring to a boil.
  • Add orange slices and return syrup to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer for about 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool 10 minutes.
  • Remove slices from syrup and place on a drying rack to cool.
Delicious as a garnish for czar's delight pork medallions
