simple sauces

featuring faerie's quatre epices

basic white sauce

Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a non-stick saucepan.
Add 2 tbsp of flour and stir to form a this paste.
Gradually add 2 cups of milk, stirring with a whisk.
Stir in ¼ tsp quatre epices and salt to taste.

cheese sauce

Add ½ - 1 cup shredded cheese to the basic white sauce and stir until cheese is melted.

velotte sauce

Follow the basic white sauce recipe above but use chicken stock instead of milk

easy primavera sauce

Make white sauce as above but substitute faerie's tuscan blend for quatre epices.
Add shredded parmesan or romano cheese and stir until melted.
