- Butter and flour a 9-inch spring form pan.
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- Sift the all-purpose flour with the baking powder.
- In an electric mixer, on medium speed, beat the margarine, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and egg yolks until well mixed.
- With the mixer running slowly, add the milk and the sifted flour. Beat for about 4 minutes or until batter is well mixed.
- Shut down mixer and manually mix the beaten white eggs into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool the cake for 15 minutes. Remove the sides of the pan and cool completely.

| faerie's special frosting |
1 cup butter or shortening softened
4 cups sifted confectioner's (powdered) sugar
¾ tsp faerie's 2x vanilla concentrate
1-3 tbsp milk or water

- Blend butter/shortening, sugar and vanilla untl creamy
- Add water or milk to desired consistency.
- For other icing flavors, add 1 tsp of any of our flavor extracts in addition to the vanilla.
