whiskey sweet potatoes

featuring faerie's vanilla fantasy and winter spice sugars

6 sweet potatoes
½ cup vanilla fantasy sugar
¼ cup winter spice sugar
¼ cup irish whiskey or bourbon
1 cup water

Combine sugars and water and heat to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Add whiskey to sugar solution and stir.

Bake 6 sweet potatoes until tender, peel and slice.
Place 1 layer of slices in a shallow buttered baking dish, spoon on sauce.
Repeat with additional layers.
